"
I really need to get out to the book tables, but we can keep talking out there if you want," I said to the people who had questions after my workshop during the annual youth leader's conference at Central American Seminary in Guatemala City.

We had left packets of our materials for sale at a table where some peoplewere also selling books, but I was not confident that they understood what was in the packets-8 series of ready-to-use active bible studies for groups, several series of more inductive bibles studies designed for small groups or personal use, and the ever popular "100's of games and activities" booklet. As I rounded the corner by the book tables I was pleased to see several people crowded around our materials looking at them, and even more pleased to see someone explaining what they contained and how they could be used.

"These active Bible studies are complete youth group meetings, designed to help the students really experience the topic and interact with the Bible. For only 70 Quetzales (9 dollars) you can get more than two years worth of studies for your group, and all of this and more is available for free at the web site www.paralideres.org."

Wow, I couldn't have said it better myself. The enthusiastic salesman was Victor Hugo Rodriguez, a founding member of the National Association of Youth Leadership in Guatemala, who we had met the previous weekend at the "Raices "congress for youth leaders. As one of the congress organizers we had seen Victor Hugo around a lot and had spoken to him a little, but I had no idea that he knew who we were or had looked at our materials. He was not teaching a workshop, like Veronica, Tim and I were, so he spent several hours promoting the web site and our materials.

We are always pleased when people use our materials, because we know it will be a real help to their ministry. But what was truly satisfying was seeing someone like Victor Hugo, who has years of youth ministry experience, appreciate the value of what we have poured our lives into and want to see other people benefit from it.

Here we are with some of the other Mexicans present
at the Guatemalan Youth Leadership conference.

It will be interesting to see how we can continue working together with people we met in Guatemala like Victor Hugo from the National Association of Youth Leadership (Guatemala) and IINDEF (International Institute of In-Depth Evangelism, based out of Costa Rica) but the first step has been made. We've see and appreciated what they are doing, and they've seen and appreciated what we're doing.

Thanks for your continued support in this adventure.

Appreciating you!.....................
