WE
ASKED, YOU PRAYED, GOD ANSWERED... THAT QUICK!
As
we traveled around the US earlier this year friends frequently
asked how they could pray for us. Our response usually included
our need for help with the web site. It has become so massive--with
over 400 pages, nine regular contributors from three countries
(US, Mexico, and Argentina), and 200 visitors each day--that Tim
has been feeling overwhelmed just trying to stay on top of logistical
details. And in our April prayer letter, we asked you to pray
that "God would connect us with talented people who could
help us make our youth ministry publication even better."
We had no idea how quick and how incredible the answer would be!
Our
last stop in the US was a missions conference at Lookout Mountain
Presbyterian Church (near Chattanooga, TN.) The friends we were
staying with invited us to a 20's Bible study that meets at their
home and gave us the opportunity to tell them about our work,
including the web site. At the end of the meeting Daryl, the host,
said "If you work full time on web programming or design
would you please raise your hand." Six hands went up. Then
Tim had a great time showing them our web site and several of
them were excited thinking about how they might be able to help
us.
As
soon as we got back to Mexico we found e-mails waiting for us
from two members of that group, Greg and Xavier, who had been
talking and planning how they could help us. They both work full
time in Internet and computers and Xavier is a native Spanish
speaker from Ecuador. The e-mails asked when they could come down
to Mexico to meet our web site team--the programmer, editors,
and graphic artist. So a week after we got back to Toluca Greg
and Xavier flew down for the weekend. Now that's proactive!
I'm
sure that in the future we'll be telling you a lot more about
how the are helping us, but in brief they will be creating a data
base for all of our information which, once in place, will make
the maintenance of the web site much, much, simpler. We are overwhelmed
with gratitude that they are eager to invest their time and energy
in helping us. And we know that the timely matching up of our
need and their gifts and desire are a result of your prayers!
May God Bless You with the Abundant Measure with which You have
Blessed Us.
